Behind KC Design Co. is a husband and wife design team Kim + Christian Cannizzaro. Kim's eye for blending styles, texture, and color, mixed with Christian's keen sense of function and form, make these two a dynamic creative team. They met in 2007 as art teachers hired in the same department and purchased their first home together in 2010. Shortly after, Kim and Christian realized not only do they have a passion for art but also for designing interiors. From DIY challenges to discovering their style, they evolved as artisans and home designers. After designing homes for friends and family, they officially launched KC Design Co. in 2017.

They balance modern organic elements and one-of-a-kind finds to design fresh, inviting spaces that feel comfortable and collected. Kim + Christian's ideas always begin with handwritten notes and drawings. Their blog 'the notes' is a way of sharing all things home and lifestyle. It is a resource for everything from interior inspiration to DIY projects, shopping guides, travel, and the occasional recipe or two.
'the notes' is also an extension of their content creation collaborations. They have worked alongside Apartment Therapy, Victrola, Mohawk, Walmart, Revival, and more.
